Approvalships

We are also the first powder coating firm to be awarded the 'European Qualicoat Standard' in Northern Ireland.

The Qualicoat initiative aims to maintain and promote quality standards in aluminium coatings for architectural applications.  It is widely recognized and specified by architects across Europe and, more recently, in the UK and Ireland.  Holders of the rigorous Qualicoat standard have all been independently inspected and tested by accredited laboratories and the inspection, which also includes regular spot checks covers the entire process, incorporating pre-treatment, powder and application.

The quality of the powder coating is one of the most important visual elements of any building.  What the Qualicoat standard form NK Coatings means is that customers receive a product that meets a clearly defined quality standard, ensuring long-term value and performance.

NK Coatings can now apply any Qualicoat approved finish in-house, regardless of any restrictions on 'approved applicators' that powder manufacturers may state.  In essence, whether NK Coatings is on the applicator list or not application of powder at NK is guaranteed to out perform the test.

Also as an approved applicator of Akzo Nobel and Dupont powder, we can offer a guarantee on aluminium products. With the State of the Art Multi-Stage Pre-Treatment Process this enables us to cater for the aluminium and mild steel industries which is carried out to BS EN 13438-2006 and BS EN 12206-2004.
